Final Post for 2011

I've always admired people for their ability to translate feelings into words, and to string a whole bunch of them into an entire blog post. I just think it is so damn difficult for one to find exact words to describe emotions, and to have the kind of patience to do so. Perhaps that is why I seldom blog, and hardly have the motivation to do so. But on this last day of 2011, in the last hour towards 2012, laying on my bed, in front of my (sister's) laptop, I thought that I should really write this entry to summerise what I did, and how I felt this past year. Sort of like a year-end reflection for myself.

I read eleven books this year, of which nine are English books and two of them being Chinese Books. Hey! 11 books for 2011, not too bad huh? Pretty impressive I should say, considering the fact that I have had mountains and mountains of school work to do*gives myself a pat on the back*

I managed to qualify myself for the annual MOE stipend of $5000. That's quite a lot, considering the fact that I'm in my third year, and am on no-pay leave(It simply means I have no income and am penniless). Still... I need to buck up on my results. Been telling myself this particular sentence over and over again, but I can't seem to find the motivation to put my words into actions. Hmm.. I do hope that this particular action/habit of mine would not continue into the next year.

I have had a total of 5 tuition students, with my current number being: One. However, I don't think I would be getting any more students for I am really tired of rushing here and there everyday for lessons. Maybe I'll even give up on my remaining student to concentrate on studies. Hmm.. Who knows?

I picked up a new CCA, though the content is relatively old - NPCC.Took on the role of an Honorary Officer and actively participated in two of it's major events - LMSC and 35th HOBTC. It has been really fulfilling to see two very different groups of people growing and developing through the different, but somewhat similar syllabus. I do not regret helping out in these two courses, but sometimes I do wonder why I spend so much time and effort in NPCC. My only explanation that I could come up with for myself: the friendships forged through these courses. Through these courses, I got to know a bunch of people, whom I came to love dearly - the 34th HOBTC peeps. It was really fun hanging out with these crazy people, and I feel really blessed to be able to know them.

Of course, that would bring me to my 2 almost relationships this year - one of which still hurts deeply.

I returned HP Elite to NIE/MOE.

I spent Christmas in Genting with my family.

I tried out Hot Yoga with my sisters.

I turned 21 this year and for the first time in my life, had a birthday party. I just thought that it is quite funny that my parents sort of combined my birthday party with a mini relative house-warming party. In addition, I do feel that this birthday was quite unique, for it was in between HOBTC's residential course and adventure training camp, so please do imagine for yourself the hectic-ness of the preparation. Yet, I did feel a little emotional with this birthday celebration, for I thought that someone special would be there to celebrate with me, with all his promises. I really thought that he would be the one. But oh well... He just proved that dreams are too good to be true... :( Well, I hope that I'll be able to look at this post years later, and have a good laugh at myself, for all the silly thought and actions that I did in year 2011.

Goodbye 2011. You were indeed eventful.
Hello 2012. May you be a better year. :)

Life is strange. Sometimes you think that things are going smoothly, only to realise that it is a facade. There are cracks lying beneath it, and a small nudge is all it needs to shatter into tiny little pieces.

Of course I am affected by it, because i didn't exactly know what happened that made it end. (Did it even start in the first place?) I guess I need time to lick my wounds, or a better someone to do so for me.

Till then. I'll try my best to be my normal self. Jiayou PeiSin. :)

Life is interesting and a hectic now.

That's of course due to a new shift of house and school, and of course the repicking up of a new CCA.

To think that I was complaining all the way up till the eve of my course.. I'M TOTALLY NOT REGRETTING IT NOW!!

I guess it's really great that I got to know more friends who shares my passion (ex-passion?). =D

I'm not dead..
Just don't have much to update on..
Just ended a tuition. Tuesday evening's finally free for me! =D
So I'm just left with tuition on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's evenings.

I have like millions of work undone. =(
Haven't done any revision for my Chinese Grammer, so I'm lost most of the time in lecture. The Chinese etymology thingy is driving me crazy... and oh! totally self-learn module for the remaining chinese module. But i do love the lecturer and his constant removing of course contents to aid our studying. =D

I hope I SURVIVE this sem.

On a sidenote, I should think HO course is confirmed for me, since they already informed me to collect the uniforms. I WANT TO MAKE FRIENDS!! =D PLEASE LET THERE BE MORE THAN 30 PEEPS IN THE COURSE!! (more handsome guys please, no pretty girls! I am enough for them! =P)

Watched December Rains on the 6th of August with Rachel Yang and My DaJia.

It was okie only...

Not really fantastic.

Kinda disappointed.

But I guess Kit Chan saved the day.

3 major glitches for it was the premier show.

Saw Liang Wen Fu, godfather of Singapore's music.

No amazing props and backdrop. Best backdrop was the white floodlight when the 2nd male lead died.

My ticket costs $128.

Bintan Day I

WENT BINTAN FROM 19th to 21st JULY. 1st time travelling out of the country without the supervision of parents or teachers. =D *SQUEALS!!

We met at 11pm and yes, the other 3 peeps met earlier for breakfast at long john silver. BOJIO!!! Took the MRT to Tanah Merah interchange and camwhored a bit while waiting for the transfer bus to the ferry terminal.

We reached the terminal at around 1pm and then went to some Indian Cafe to fill in the immigration cards and eat my lunch (since all abandoned me and had breakfast). I had the worse chicken murtabak ever, with more onions than chicken meat in that prata. =( Well well, nothing can compare to the yummilicious Mr. Prata. =P.

I finished my murtabak in record time, and proceeded to board the ferry. Tried taking some group photos while lining to board it, but FAILED BIG TIME with all our barang barangs. An angmoh lady who was queueing behind us (and mind you, keenly observing us) that time kindly offered to help us with a photo, but the timing isn't right, for the queue MOVED. OH WELL.

Got the CHOP on my passport and out we go. Passed by a convenience stall but did not purchase any food from there. REGRET LIKE NOTHIN. that's another story to tell. =P

Found the resort transfer bus and took a 15-20 minutes ride to the resort. And then.... we saw raindrops falling on the windows. Real funny, cause we kept hypnotising ourselves that THAT'S NOT RAIN, but leaking aircon. Had no luck cause it got bigger and BIGGER.

Checked in the hotel and booked trips. FIREFLIES SIGHTING AND SNORKLING. WOO!!! We then took the provided transportation to our VILLA.

There were 2 families on the same bus as us, and the resort staff sent them to their villas first. Both families booked the Angsana Villa, the largest villa in the resort. They had a private pool. =( We don't have that. Imagine our disappointment when we saw our tweeny, weeny little villa. haha. IT'S TOTALLY A CHALET CAN?

see? SO SMALL. BUT WE GOT REALLY EXCITED AFTER A MINUTE CAUSE WE SAW THE BUGGY!!

THE ONLY WORRY IS THAT WE HAD NO FOOD INGREDIENTS AT ALL. WE TOTALLY FORGOT THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO COOK OUR DINNER AT THE VILLA AND WE DON'T HAVE ANY EDIBLE STUFF AT ALL!!! ZOMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Settled down and rested a while before setting out to the beach to kayak. the rain had stopped by then. HUIYI DROVE US TO THE BEACH IN BUGGY!!! But the timing and weather wasn't right, and so we decided to push the kayaking to day 2 instead, and went around exploring the resort in the buggy.

All of us took turns driving the buggy, and I was the worst driver, with sharp turns and amazing lost of control of the steering wheel. LOL. For the rest of the trip, the rest of them prevented me from being the chauffeur. =( OKIE. I SHALL BE CHAUFFEURED AROUND THEN.

Went to the lobby to look for food. Decided to proceed to the cafe in the leisure centre for early dinner/ late lunch. Drove there from the main building aka hotel lobby, but ended up eating in the cafe at the Golf centre. We did not realise the mistake until much later.

After dinner, we drove back to the hotel lobby to pick up some freaking expensive cookies, chips and drink for the night. We then drove back to the villa to put our stuff. Rested for like 5 or 10 minutes before once again heading back to the hotel lobby to gather for the fireflies trip.

There were around 10 pax on the trip and the bus drove us out of the resort to a swampy river near pasar ole ole. We sat on a power boat.

The powerboat stopped halfway to the headquaters and they passed us insurance. !!!!?!?!!! IS IT THAT DANGEROUS?

The boat ventured deeper into the swamp and we saw PRETTY LITTLE FIREFLIES!! I hate creepy crawlies, but was still very much attracted to them and caught them on many occasions. No pics cause they can't be captured on film. The firefly light is too weak. They look like lights on a christmas tree.=D

Halfway through the trip, Mr. Shye asked me this question.

"eh.. 你觉得这个浪漫吗？"

I looked at him as if he grew another head, stunned for 2s before answering him..

"erm.. 要跟对的人。。"

*smiles sweetly*

The thing lasted only 30 minutes? and I MUST SAY THE TOUR GUIDE IS MARVELLOUS. HE KEEP CATCHING FIREFLIES FOR ME AND ONLY ME!!! AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA.

Returned to the resort and sat at the lobby for 5 minutes, listening to the live band. We then headed back to the villa to clean up, chill, chat, play cards. First in the living room, then in the bedroom. We ended up sleeping altogether in the same room.

I finally grasped the true concept of Hearts.

Shared a joke about smaller than 7, 7 and greater then 7. The game that determined if we could stop playing altogether and just go to sleep.

We slept at 2.45 local time, 3.45 Singapore time.

I woke up 7.30 the next day. Stupid Biological clock. =(

The second day of school experience.

Well, I relieved all the classes which I was supposed to observe, and I went into the P4 class for the first period.
The P4 class was noisy, unattentive, talking.. all the stuff showing that they are not interested in the lesson, or isn't paying attention to me, cause i'm new in the school. I tried to be nice, asking them to keep quiet on several occasions, and when failing to do so.. I ignored the chatter and continued teaching the all new topic, for I figured it'll be their loss if they don't learn, and not mine. But after 15-20 minutes, the students were still talking and showed no signs of quieting down, and in fact became louder. So I burst. A mild one.

Was teaching the verb "讨论", and I noticed that the group of three girls were chitchatting very loudly. So I looked (stared at them), and said in a very cold tone,

"你们在讨论什么？"

After that sentence, the whole class quiet down immediately, as in deadly silence, for they could sense that the storm was brewing, and the atmosphere was tense, so I tried to lighten the mood.

"你们在讨论什么？所以呢。。这就是用‘讨论’造的句子。有谁可以用讨论来造一个新的句子呢？"

Only then was the mood lightened up, and they only resumed the noisiness 10 minutes later. Once again, the group of three girls were the noise contributer, and so I pin-pointed out the leader of the group.

"你很像有很多想法，要和我们分享吗？"

*girl shakes head with the very scared expression* class quiet down once again.

"刚刚我教了‘激动’这个词语，现在你帮我用这个词语造造句。"

girl mutters, stunned for a minute, before squeezing out...

"妈妈看到弟弟跌倒很激动。"

"不对！刚刚我说过激动不能这么用，你用听课吗？有谁可以帮我造一个新的词语？"

okie I admit, I said that sentence purposely, well... I'll try to tone down next time. =P

But yes... I was super tired after that 40-minutes lesson, and then I went back to the staffroom to rest, and complained to the other trainee teacher that about the class. I was feeling so depressed after the single 40-minutes P4 class, and didn't feel like relief-teaching the 2 40-minutes P2 class .

BUT LUCKILY, the cute P2 class didn't disappoint me. They kept "黄老师"here, and "黄老师"there, all vying for attention, and asking for permission for everything they do. SO POLITE!

“黄老师，黄老师！我可以喝水吗？”

“黄老师！我可以去上厕所吗？”
“黄老师，我可以削铅笔吗？”

“黄老师！你可以让我们玩游戏吗？”

“黄老师！方老师在那里？”

To involve them, I asked them to come up to the board to draw their version of the girl, and “足”. When I asked for volunteers, I only expected maybe 2 or 3 students, but approx. 3/4 students raised up their hands. It's like in “百万小学堂”，with students all doing the “选我！选我！” stun.. I chose 5 students to go up to the board to draw, and asked the rest to vote on the nicest one. I was cheeky enough to ask them to vote on mine too...

“你们喜欢我的画画吗？有谁觉得我的最美？”

one hand.... two hand..... three, four, five, six... almost all raised up their hands. =D

THEY ARE SO diabetic-ly SWEET!

Then I released them for recess. Before going off, one girl came up to me..

Girl: “黄老师，黄老师！等一下after recess你会来教我们吗？”

Me: “应该会吧。”

Girl: “YEAH!!!!!” *runs off*

That made my day. For they are appreciate of the things that I did, and are JUST SO CUTE!

Enhanced School Experience (Primary) I

Okie that's CRAP. I dunno how shye do the weather thing. LOL. I dun rmb that at all!

Shall blog in sequence. =D

First of foremost, I was late for the 1st day of school. =X Took bus 14 to the school, and alighted 2 stops earlier, for I blindly followed a student off the bus, and had to walk i think at least 800 meters in freaking painful heels. (Didn't know they were painful till I walked that distance. )Result: 2 blister each on both leg.

Then I reached the school at around 7.20am, all covered in sweat, and I saw to my horror that the assembly has started. Rushed to the General Office, and saw the teacher-in-charge of practicum, and she gave me a short briefing on the EARLY assembly time, the school signing-in system and the timetable. After which, I followed her out of the GO, and was introduced to other fellow trainee teachers. The principal introduced us in front of the whole school and I was "Miss Ng Pui Sin". Lol. Oh.. and guess what they do for assembly! The teacher in charge would actually pick a verse from the bible, and start explaining to the whole school, following which, the whole school will do a prayer ("now, let us bow our heads and pray to our holy father..." "...... and we shall say.. AMEN,"). When I looked around, the whole school was praying!! Even the teachers.. Made me wonder... Any other people with other religion in this school? =P. (Did I mention that all the trainess teachers were doing the prayers too?)

The super slack timetable. Friday is free of any lesson. But I still need to report to school. =(

Anyway, after assembly, I was introduced to my CTs, ranking first and second in in the department, meaning HOD and Level head. Both were pretty! and the HOD is so young... oh yes. Both were married too. =D With 10 minutes left before the start of the first lesson of the day, the teacher-in-charge of the practicum brought me to the staffroom and showed me my sitting arrangements for the week. I dun have the photos now, but I'll be sure to take a picture of it before I leave the school. The staff lounge is MARVELLICIOUSLY PRETTY, seriously.

I had my first lesson at the first period with the HOD, a P4 class, and they played games to revise, so most of them were quite eager to participate. After the lesson, the HOD led me to my second class with the Level head, and on the way there, she explained that students in the school are typically not keen in the learning of the language, for majority of the students are from English-Speaking families, and that it was a very english school. She also informed me that I sort of came at the wrong time, for they are expecting exchange students from China, and both of my CTs are key personnels in the project, so they wouldn't have much time for me. Well.. I guess.. I dun have the luck. But it's cool that I get to see such major events. =D

Then the P2 class with the Level Head. THOSE SMALL MONSTERS ARE SO CUTE, WITH THEIR ROUND HEAD, INNOCENT SMILES, SMALL BODY AND BIG BAGS. *squeeze* They so made me want to teach lower primary in future, though there's really alot of babysitting to be done. Apparently, the kids have got chinese word flashcards, named 字宝宝, and they used it to play SNAP AND BINGO. They LOVED the game to bits and pieces, and their chiming laughters filled the classroom.

BUT the epic moment of the class was when one girl interrupted the teacher

女孩: "老师，老师，他的牙齿掉了！"

The teacher stunned for a moment, then said,

老师：" 那有没有流血，现在要去哪里？牙医吗？你可以自己走去他那里吗？”

The little boy nodded his head, covered his mouth, picked up his little tooth, and was sent on his way to the dentist.

With the ending of the lesson, the first practicum observation day was over, and I headed back to the staffroom to chill, and chitchat with the other trainees. One of the trainee even shared with us the SMS that her classmate sent, regarding his interesting day in the school.

"....I was so hungry, and went to the canteen for food. I had to get 2 of the same dish in the canteen, because the portion is so small...."

That message made me excited to visit the school's canteen, but I eventually didn't, cause we were TALKING. All trainee teachers were Christians, talking about their church, so that explained why they bowed. One of them was the ex-student of the school, so we sort of revealed some information regarding the school culture and the respective teachers. WOW.

Chat, Chat, Chat, Chat, Chat. Then, the Level Head approached me, with a stack of test papers and a textbook. She explained to me her involvement with the China Exchange-Students coming the next day, and thus asked me to help her relief the P2 class (on Wednesday). and thus, I had to fly-solo for the two 40-minutes lesson, before recess.

The teacher left, and I was still feeling very anxious (taking a class is not exactly the same as teaching one-to-one tuition), when the HOD approached me, asking me to relief a period for her as well. LOL.

School ended at 1.10pm, but stayed till around 1.45pm, cause we didn't think it was nice to leave early on the first day. Then I rushed home for lunch, and rushed out of the house again for 2 consecutive tuition sessions.

My DaJie got her pay and was feeling FILTHY RICH, so we decided to go shopping on the 7th of July. All 3 sisters were present. =D

We combed quite a few places, including BodyShop, Kate Spade, Coach, Esprit, Aldo, Swarovski, Perlini Silver,Thomas Sabo and Robinsons. All at Raffles City Shopping Centre.

I should think that quite some time were spent at Coach, for my DaJie couldn't find the desired design. If memory serves me right, she enquired for 2 designs, and they were either a last piece, meaning buying of display piece, or out of stock for the colour.

I'm supposed to blog.. I'm supposed to blog... I HAVE TO BLOG!!! =P

Last monday, 21st June, I met Tecky and SingChun for dinner and movie. Well... they said I sort of crashed their guys' night, but later amended by saying IT IS STILL A GUYS' NIGHT. *rolls eyes* We had SUBWAY!! I like mine Hearty Italian, 6 inch, Oven Toasted Chicken Breast, All Veggies except pepper (capsicum), Sweet Onion, Honey Mustard and Mayonnaise. Too much details? oops. HAHA! and then we watched TOY STORY 3! not too bad a show. reminded me that the first and only movie that my pop brought me to was Toy Story 1. =D

AND THEN TUESDAY, I met up with them again. LOL. I was in the vicinity, teaching si-ginna tuition, and then decided to meet them for dinner, where we had THAI EXPRESS!!! YUMYUMYUMYUMYUMYUMYUMYUM, my favourite among favourite among favourite restaurant. but I didn't manage to order my prawn omelette rice, and got Pad Thai Seafood instead. =(

Come Wednesday, I woke up super early for the Kentridge Sec Practicum briefing. It was quite beneficial and allowed me a glimpse of my future lifestyle. you know.. waking up at 6am, and reaching school before 7.15am, and going home at only 5 plus 6? OH! AND IT'S SCARY! THERE ARE LOTS OF MISS IN THE SCHOOL! like OLD MISS. anyone of you have got a good matchmaking agency number to recommend? lol. just kidding. Did I mention that the school is six-storey high, with canteen and parade square and hall on the third? strange huh?

FRIDAY!! I met up with YunXuan and ChuanMin for a mini get-together and shopping session.We agreed to meet at 1.30pm and I WAS LATE AGAIN! *so paiseh. I couldn't find the way to FarEast. =X Lunch was at KFC, which was yumilicious. We went to FarEast Plaza where I bought a blouse and a necklace, and Scape, for photo-taking session and Once Upon a Milkshake. Korean Food for Dinner. Pictures as below. =D

Then on Monday, I went to do some recce at ulu pandan, trying to find out the location of the Condo where my new tuition kid stays. It's really ULU. Apparently, the tuition agency called me to say $250 for 8 lessons, twice a week, for english, maths, and chinese, P3. WHEN I TURNED UP FOR THE FIRST LESSON THE NEXT DAY, the parent told me that I was supposed to teach all 4 subjects, imagine my shock. It's like totally... overworked and cheap labour. Anyways, after the recce, I went JP to meet my JC friends, Yanmei, Weikoon and Waikiet. Apparently, Waikiet just broke up with his gf and was sad, and the purpose of the meeting is to console him. NO CONSOLING DONE. LOL. We asked him to give up on the girl instead, don't chase her back. but well... he still loves her. Dinner at Subway (again, the same combination), dessert at JiDeChi. Only 5 pictures. No WeiKoon.

Tuesday was tiring for I had 2 back-to-back tuition session. One at Ulu Pandan, the other at Jurong West. 4pm to 5.30 (dragged to 6.15, cause it's the first session, and the mum wanted to chit chat with me) 7pm to 8.30. (Jurong West Si-ginna's house) and I do discover that Chester's Chinese is way better than Si-ginna's. Chester is P3, Si-ginna is P5. But anyway, after the session with Si-ginna, his dad offered to send me back home. IT WAS AWKWARD. No forms of communication on the car at all.

Did I mention before that I'm a spendthrift? I spent sooooo much money on payday. =P

I bought a new camera, SAMSUNG PL150, worth 399 bucks. The camera is so cool, for it has got dual screen. I've decided to bring it out for every subsequent outings i go out with friends. =D At least for 2 months? haha.

Oh yes, on the same day itself, I went to purchase a new bag. I was shopping at Raffles city shopping centre with my sister and we decided to walk into Kate Spade to see if there's any nice bags around. and then... I saw the "New york Pass The Shades Griffen Striped Canvas Tote" worth 350 bucks!! It's so pretty and so I purchased it. IT'S GOING TO BE MY NEW SCHOOL BAG. haha. It's sooooo pretty.. =D

I also purchased skincare products from Body Shop and Watsons and they totaled to be around $75. Am so going to treat my face's acne problem. 0.o

I woke up at 1.30 pm today and saw a SMS from Yanmei, inviting me to a K-Session. Chopped chopped bathed and went off to meet her, and we sang at Clementi KBox from 2.30 to 5.30pm.

After that, we went Mr. Prata to have scumpilicious Prata and for the first time in my life, got to taste for myself the flavours of Thosai. I must say it isn't really nice?

After that, I accompanied yanmei to Jurong Point to aid in her purchasing of a new pair of fake lashes, and then proceeded to follow her back home to play with her fantabulous make-up set. Got 3 free mask as well. =D

话说当天晚上，我正要到冲凉房洗澡，途经厨房，遇见二姐正在打包老母煮的炒饭。

二姐笑笑地对我说：“我要打包给我的男朋友吃！”
我不削地反应：“为什么要打包？你男朋友没有钱买饭吃meh?"
二姐：“ kns!你的答案和妈咪的一模一样！ ”
老母：“ 是真的吗。。他没有钱meh? 为什么要打包给他吃？”
我：“haiz... 它不是没有钱lah... 只是笨而以吗。。。。 ITE 的。”
老母：“HUH！！ITE 的！你为什么要找那么笨的男朋友？”
二姐（笑笑）：“你们很坏Leh... 而且只是男朋友啊。。玩玩而已。。又不是找老公。”

这时，大姐从房间走了出来。。

大姐：“你要打包给XX吃啊？他妈妈没有钱煮饭给她的儿子吃啊？”
我：“因为XX没有给家用mah... 没有钱。。”
大姐：“HUH！没有钱？又笨？ haiyo.... 找ITE的男朋友就是这样的lah.. ah bee. 都叫你不要找ITE的男朋友了。。”
我在旁默默地加了一句：“hai.... 传说中的不被祝福的恋情。。”

我二姐快要被气死了！！ LOL

Long Post

Alrighto. I know I haven't been updating as of late. So I'm now going to blog a super long post, starting from right after the examination. =D

29th April
Exams ended on the 29th, with the paper being Children's Literature. I guess the paper was alright? I dunno. I forgot. It has been too long. That is the disadvantage of not blogging immediately. There was no post-exams celebration =(, so I decided to clear out the lockers. I bought home stuff from last semester, including a sleeping bag which I kapok from GESL camp. Oops. and then.. I SAW THE BENDLY CAB!! you know? the black, super luxurious looking cab? so i thought, since I am carrying so many things, why not take the cab home? Furthermore, I had always wanted to take that cab. So I flagged down the cab, and it was really nice on the inside. =D The leather seats were really comfy and it was spacious. The taxi driver, instead of an uncle, was a nice, handsome young man who made idle chats with me along the way. The conversation spanned from Singapore's politics to Switzerland's welfare system. It was really nice. The flipside? The ride was expensive. =( The initial charges costs $5, and jumps at $0.30 per 385km. I spend $18.50 instead of the normal $10 to reach home. The taxi driver was kind enough to give me a $0.50 discount, a student concession he said. BUT I REALLY LOVE THE RIDE!! haha. Nice experience and service. =D

Upon reaching home, I chilled and slept awhile and then went off to Bugis to meet my ErJie for some shopping. We went Bugis street, Illuma and Bugis Junction and managed to purchase two tops there. We then had Ajisen Spicy Chashau Ramen for dinner, and then I had a stomachache and had to head home. =( Well... abrupt ending.

30th April
If my memory serves me correctly, I woke up at 12 plus and discovered my DaJie at home, and not at work. Apparently she was heading down to town for a job interview and she invited me along for some shopping that is to be done after the interview. We took a cab down to Taka and while waiting for her, I roamed aimlessly, but managed to get a top and a pyjamas from CottonOn all for only 20 bucks. HAHA!! IT WAS REALLY A GOOD BARGAIN!! Then my DaJie came along and stuff were bought from both G2000 and Esprit. We also went to Raffles City Shopping Centre's Dorothy Perkin and I BOUGHT MY BASIC TEES AND TANKTOP! okie.. too excited. We ended the trip with Burger King Chicken meal as dinner. I like the drumsticks! I think they can fight with Pizza Hut. =P

1st May
My DaJie and ErJie wanted to do some shopping, so all three Ng sisters headed downtown to spend the money. 1st stop was Paragon, for my Dajie wanted to buy some branded Kid's clothing for her friend's newborn. Before heading to the children boutique on the top level, we went into Coach and I felt so out of place in there. I guess I'm not rich enough. =( But the products there are really nice though, maybe when I start working, maybe... =D After buying the clothes, we decided to proceed to Ion for some Havannas shopping. BUT the Gucci store was just at the Paragon exit, so we went into Gucci, to check out the price for the ever famous Gucci Lanyard. The price till now is unknown though, there were too many customers and just insufficient staff in the shop that day. No chance to enquire on the pricing.
At Ion Havanna's store, my ErJie was disappointed to realise that the Black slippers she was aiming for was out of stock, and we left. We treated ourselves to some bread and did shoe shopping before rushing back to clementi, for we wanted to treat our parents out to dinner.

We reached home at around 6.30pm and GUESS WHAT?!! The old folks wanted to watch TV and asked us to eat the meal ourselves, and dabao back for them. so much for the rushing... lol. so the three sisters went to VariNice for TzeCa and we had shrimp vegetables, SAMBAL STINGRAY and cereal prawns. Yum yum. We dabao-ed fried prawn noodles for our TV-fanatics at home, and forgot about the newspaper. LOL

2nd May
Sunday was a good day, for I was feeling bored and decided to clear up the mess I created on the floor. I also tidied up the waredrobe. I STAYED AT HOME! =D

3rd May
My Dajie had a job interview in the morning, and the afternoon was left empty. SO we decided to go singing at PARTY WORLD @ CITYVIBE, where we can sing and massage our legs at the same time. I sponsered lunch (subway) and she paid for the singing. =D I think my keys were off for most part of the singing. I was still sick at that point of time. I like PartyWorld! They serve lots of tidbits and the drinks are nice!

4th May
Yanmei introduced me to a mystery shopper job and I woke up early at 8.30 for the job briefing. I did some makeup and dressed in formal office attire. The briefing was longggggg and took 4 hours, ending at approximately 1.30pm. They pay peanuts for the assignment, $15 per shop and I am not pleased with it at all, considering the amount of effort one has to put in to assess the sales assistant and to do up the post-mystery shopping report. Well, it was an experience on it's own though.
4.30pm came and I had my once-a-week tuition with siginna. The family made my day by paying up the tuition fees on time(for once). Can you do your part by completing the hw? Else you are never going to improve!

5th May
I FINALLY MET MR CHNG FOR LUNCH!! We lived a-stone-throw-away and never really met up for lunch since.... sec school? =D We met at 1.50pm outside CTSS (okie, weird timing. But Mr. Tecky Chng ends class only at that time.) and we went West Coast Plaza for some marvelous, delicious, superb THAI EXPRESS!! So we sat down at the restaurant and the waitress passed us the menu. Tecky was saying, "you need menu meh? you always order the same food." and I LOL. After 10 minutes of pondering over the menu, we BOTH ordered what we always order at Thai Express and I seriously LOL, for he himself ordered the Curry Softshell crab (same food)! Me? Prawn Omelette Rice of course. =D We shared yummilicious TomYum Seafood soup.

After lunch, I accompanied Mr. Chng to Popular to pre-order his Jay Chou CD. Aww.. sad to say West Coast's Popular doesn't offer pre-ordering services. We walked around aimlessly for a while and did a stupid thing at Cold Storage. =D I also introduced Tecky to the wonderful goodness of Wassant. We left West Coast Plaza at 4.45pm. Time really passes quickly with good companion. I would think we would have spent more time chatting together if it wasn't for the dabao-ed prawn omelettle rice. TECKY!! LET'S MEET MORE OFTEN SINCE WE LIVE SO NEAR TOGETHER!!

oh ya! I went Alexandra/Queensway after meeting Tecky so that I can make a new pair of spectacles. My Dajie knew the boss and we managed to get the specs at a real bargain price. only $110! =DDDDDDD

erm. what i did i do that day? oooooooooo. I woke up at 12 plus and decided that I should really go and take a new photograph so that I can remake my expired passport (for cruise trip, perhaps?). So I ironed the clothes and did a full make-up, so that my features would be more defined on the photograph. After the phototaking session, I headed down to Raffles City shopping Centre for my first mystery shopping assignment. The services provided by the sales personal at Shishedo counter at Robinsons weren't up-to-standard at all, and I failed her. sorry, too bad. AND I MET UP WITH NGIAM, who was working nearby at suntec. We had a late lunch and then she accompanied me for some present shopping. =D wee~~ thanks!

7th May
YunXuan's Surprise Mac Party. =D I was super excited prior to the party as I never took part in any Mac Party before. We (excluding Bday girl) agreed to meet at Kovan Mrt station at 3pm and I was late, and only arrived at 3.15pm. I had a good reason for the tardiness though, someone jumped track and delayed train services. Not my fault now, right? and I saw all couples holding hands! so sweet.. aww. and Tiny had a new haircut, which weihao felt look like china man. I guess, it's all karma.

We had extra-value meal for party food and the cake served is... erm.. okie. After feeding ourselves, we played some games, hosted by the very friendly staff, Susan. Unfortunately, Suay ginna strikes again, and I was among the four people who had to do a forfeit. At first they wanted me to kiss anyone of the guys, but LUCKILY it was changed to other tasks. Weihao had to ask for signatures from 2 random girls after asking them their opinion on his looks, Tiny and Kah Hern had to fake a conversation, using Shoes as handphones, while I had to approach a guy and ask him his opinion on my bangs. LUCKILY, I do not live in the area. So the embarrassment doesn't travel to Clementi! =D Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable party!

8th May
Woke up at 10pm and accompanied my DaJie to Bugis to pray at Kwan Yim Temple, for there were some job issues, which I think, shouldn't have been commited. Oops. We then had XiaoWanMian and Meat balls/Fried Dumplings for lunch and went to catch IP Man2 at Illuma's cinema. The seats there were WOW. The sound system was also WOW. After the movie, we walked around aimlessly, before heading to a shoe shop where we purchased 3 pair of shoes in total. I then accompanied my sis to Kinokuniya and McDonald's before leaving her for the NP Gang.

We (NP gang) headed down to Geylang for dinner and we had TzeCa at this quite famous place. Erm.. MingHwee issit? can't rmb. After that, we went to eat dimsum for Weixiong had serious cravings for Siew Mai. After that came the favourite.. DURIAN!! I picked 5 out of 6 durians and all 5 taste SUPERB! the last one.. well.. bernard can do better. After durian, we went Esplanade and Marina Square shopping centre to chill and camwhore.. I'm waiting for pictures from weixiong!! where are they!?!!

Anyways, went tuition and I think I sort of smoke through the session. Spent the 1st 15 minutes of the 1.5 hour lesson chatting with the boy's grandma (she approached me), and another 10 minutes trying to help her figure out what a lotion was for (for rectal usage only). Then 15 minutes later, she prepared kong ba bao for Ah Boy and me to eat, and asked me to take a break from teaching.

So erm.... I taught very little that session.

Saturday
Met up with Yanmei and Weikoon after a really long while and went to the IT fair at Suntec. I had wanted to take a look at cameras but had to abandon mission cause the crowd was really atrocious and Yanmei was complaining of hunger. So I passed my second sister, who happens to be working at the fair, some cash and then went off to Marina Square for lunch.

Decided upon Imperial Treasure Restaurant, my newly-crowded favourite restaurant, for lunch. Had 3 trays? of XiaoLongBao and THEY were marvelicious. However, the main dish that was selected wasn't too great. Drunken Chicken, Fried Spinach, Braised Pork and Pig Ears. THEY could be better and I do think we should have ordered noodles to slurp at. Afterall, we were at Imperial Treasure XiaoLongBao and LaMian Restaurant. =(

After the meal, we caught a movie entitled Green Zone. A pretty impressive movie with GREAT plot and SERIOUSLY cool ending. Those who enjoys War movies should definitely watch it. I'll rate it... 4 stars?

Weikoon wanted ice-cream and so we went to Marvellous Cream to have some cold treats. The strawberry shortcake was nice, but I'll definitely try mango temptation next time round. A regular cup costs $4.40 and I think I'll have it when I really feel like splurging, which is like..... constantly? haha. =( THIS IS BAD.

LAN game was suggested as the final activity before Yanmei has to go home for Dinner. Saw Tiny on the way and said HI! Who would have thought that Tiny goes to IT fair? Lol. I benefitted when Yanmei and Weikoon chose to come over to CityVibe (Clementi) to game. So the three of us started a game and a funny stranger joined our game. He was seated beside me and tried conversing with me the whole way through.

"Use that explosive! No use one!"

"Go that way, NO! THAT WAY!"

"waliao.. your friend very lousy leh... why keep falling down the ledge?"

"not bad. you did quite alot of damage to the tank!"

I ignored him for most parts although I have to agree that his advise were really useful. When time was up and I had to go, he commented,

Sunday
Went Bugis with my DEAREST eldest sister to take a look at the very good beauty product recommended by her friend. According to her friend, line dance auntie's skin glows and radiates after a week's usage. After much consideration (cause the price range was moredate high), we picked up the product along with a started kit and spent a total of 268 bucks.

We then headed down to Orchard's Etude house to stock up on our facial wash. Spend a total of 38++??

It's not really BAKING POWDER.

So that sums up our purchase for the day. We treated ourselves to Takoyaki Balls at Ion before heading home.

Oh ya! I forgot to mention that my DEAREST sister treated me to lunch at Pasta Mania. Thanks heaps!

Monday
Woke up for school at 7am and received news that my DEAREST second sister was hospitalised. Apparently, she got stung by a bee/wasp/hornet on her way to work on Saturday morning, but didn't provide immediate treatment until Sunday night (Monday morning) after her IT show? HER HAND WAS REALLY SWOLLEN WHEN I SAW IT ON SATURDAY NIGHT (Sunday morning). The doctor then told her that she got an infection and has to be hospitalised. Laugh abit at her plight and went of to school as per normal. Then, i went visiting her at SGH after school and found that she is A FAKER. SHE SLEEPS AND EAT THE WHOLE DAY THERE! AND SHE LOOKS PERFECTLY FINE TO ME!! I THINK IT IS JUST A TIME FOR HER TO CATCH HER SLEEP AFTER THE 4-DAY IT FAIR! Lucky for her, her boss agreed to pay the bills as she was injured due to (on her way to) work.

you see how perfectly fine she is? STILL LAUGHING AWAY! =D

Tuesday
Upon request by the student, the tuition session was shifted to Tuesday. Reached the boy's house and saw a shocking result slip that literally stunned me. 13/100 marks. Part I - 10/44 Part II - 2/46. The boy also revealed to me that his father commented that 1 mark cost 10 bucks, for I charged them $120 per month for the tuition. I was........ really speechless upon hearing that and made me ponder if I should give up the student. Not for reputation sake but to see if his results would improve under other more experienced teachers. What's more, it was payday for me that session. So, it was really a strange feeling to receive that $120. Like getting paid when the job was not well done. I think... I'll coach him for another 2 or 3 more months? See if I'm able to pull up his scores. If not, say bye bye.

Last saturday, my whole family, well sans my brother, went to this fortune telling seminar at Toa Payoh HDB Hub. The seminar was about the luck of the various Zodiac signs in the year of Tiger. Well, for horse, apparently the fortune telling guy said that confidence is the way to score the year and GREEN should be avoided at all cost. LOL!! Orange and pink to be encouraged! =D For other zodiac signs, if you are interested to know about them... ASK for the booklet from me! haha.. Rental fees at $2 per day!

Seminar tickets are priced at S$100 each, and a piqiu was given as gift.

The seminar ended at around 5 plus and we headed to City hall, Raffles City Shopping Centre for dinner. We had Thai Express and I ordered my all-time favorite - Fried Prawn Omelette Rice!!

My second sister's bday falls on January. Hence, we were able to utilise the S$15 birthday voucher and got the Orange Thai Express Membership card. S$30 for a year's membership. Ex huh?

The bill came. My elder sisters and I agreed to treat our parents to the meal and to split the cost. But i paid for the thing first.

It was S$107.

Met up with Jun Rong yesterday evening for dinner. We arranged to meet 6.30 pm and for the first time in two years, i turned up punctually. Of course things won't turn out smoothly. He messaged me saying he would be a little late. But... HE WAS LATE FOR 1 HOUR AND 5 MINUTES. KNS!! and i stood at the control station stupidly waiting for him.

Had dinner at Suntec dunno what restaurant. But it was a rather pathetic restaurant, cause there were only 3 tables having meals with 3 waiters serving. Had cream of mushroom soup, seafood platter and ice lemon tea.

After dinner, we went shopping a little for new year clothes. I saw nothing and so bought nothing. Taman Jurong bought a pair of pants from G2000. Brownish black pair of pants. Not bad looking.

Proceeded to Starbucks near esplanade for drinks. Saw the infamous Butter Factory. hmm... I want to go there sometime!!! The club seems super cool.. Talked over drinks. Was nice to have updates about him and some other secondary school friends.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

I went out with my beloved, Ngiam to town yesterday (1st Jan). Met up at clementi at 3pm and was treated to special cookies. Those cookies were made of love from Edwyn to Ngiam and it was due to Mervyn's and my mocking of Edwyn's culinary skills that enabled me a taste of the cookies. Not bad. So sweet and full of love. Almost got diabetes. =D.

Then we headed to somerset and went shopping at somerset@313. We went looking for new year clothes at quite some stores but didn't managed to buy any cause there were simply to many people in the stores. It's really hard to do shopping with thongs of people in the shop and those clothes available weren't really pretty. I guess purchasing can only be done when new designs come in.

Next, we headed to Heeren cause Ngiam had her privileged card and we wanted to see if we could pick up any good stuffs with the discounts. Heeren was empty, with no flow of customers and shops closed. We went into Levi's and I saw a pair of jeans selling for $59. It was nice.. But I didn't really like the yellow seams. After some serious considerations, I placed the pair back to it's original position. It's Eves Straight Cut and it fits me perfectly. I hope I won't regret my decision.

Our next stop was Takashimaya as we wanted to visit Art House to see if there are any Interior Designer's Markers. Ngiam wanted to buy a full set of 72 for Edwyn's Christmas present. WOW. A full set costs $244. So generous. Saw Coca Steamboat and proceeded to make reservation only to cancel it 30 minutes later cause I wanted to eat other stuff. =D

Ion was chosen to the place to have dinner. I wanted to introduce Ngiam to the good food at LuGang Xiao Zhen but the queue was just too long. So we settled for Imperial Treasure Noodle and Congee instead. We waited for a good 20 minutes for an empty table.

While waiting for the food, eating the food and waiting for the bill. We camwhored. PHOTOS TIME!! <3

Arrived safe and sound and changed plans to have it at Raffles City Shopping Centre. Ngiam's BF aka Edwyn came to meet us after his work at Suntec. Taled and left at around 11pm.

These are my New Year resolution.

Good school grades. It is essential to winning Bonus for year 3 and 4. I do not want to eat grass for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Get a boyfriend. Seriously. It must be my karma for rejecting so many people in the past.
Go out of the country. But firstly i would have to renew my passport. Do some face slimming.
Hit 47 kg. I know it's quite impossible to accomplish with me stuffing my face all the time. But a girl can dream right?

well.. this week has been an interesting week.

on monday. i nua-ed at home. and it was interesting. NUAING IS ALWAYS INTERESTING!! i mean.. you can talk to people on msn and find out about world news through the internet. LOOK! SEE!! VERY INTERESTING!! and there's always gossip girl fanfiction to keep me entertained. lols

on tuesday. well. i meet up with dearest chuan min for movie session. we agreed at meet at 12noon and as usual my dear friends.. i was late. for 15 minutes. we headed to cineleisure for the tickets and there was a bloody long queue. Oops for the language. haha!! and we bought KFC Zinger meal for movie snack. HAHA!! the cinema smells of our meal and was super cold. okie. the two issue doesn't link togehter. hmm.. Planet 51 was kinda lame. should have heeded sy's advise and watch some nicer show instead.. after the movie.. we went to far east and walked around. nothin fantastic over there so we bought nothin. and then we went wheelock's starbucks for a little gossip session. chuan ordered her dream hot chocolate and my green tea latte was hot. FOR GOODNESS SAKE!! it taste absurd. haha. green tea latte is a dish best served cold. then we went walking around aimlessly again and took a picture with the taka christmas tree. for photos.. click to chuan's blog. =D i think we kept walking in circles and was always around ION. Next, we headed to cineleisure for dinner. we actually wanted to take neoprints but the had no mood cause we received news that results were out. so we eat dinner chop chop and went home. chuan and me agreed on some codes for the results but i mixed them up. lolz. anyway. the results weren't too bad. 4.46. =D

on wednesday. i went dating with my dear er jie. i treated her to movie so that she will accompany me to perlini silver. well.. it would be such a waste to not use the 50% discount voucher right?? we wanted to watch the 3.30 show at Plaza singapura but left the house too late. so we headed to raffles city instead where the perlini store was bigger and she could purchase her christmas gift. I BOUGHT A $ 25 NECKLACE FOR $12.50. haha... after all the shopping. we headed to cathy cineleisure for the movie i promised. Princess and the frog was another lame show. lolz. so i watched 2 kids' movie for 2 consecutive days. shopping after movie was impossible as the crowd as horrible. kanna squeezed everywhere.. so we went home.

thursday. CHRISTMAS EVE!!! lolz. i had nothin to do.. so i asked my dajie along for movie at tiong bahru. the crowd at the movie box was super scary. luckily we booked tickets online and just have to collect them at the axn machine. we had nachos combo and old chang kee for movie snacks! <3 SHERLOCK HOLMES WAS NICE!!! finally some quality movie watched. hhahaha.. Jude Law was handsome as doctor and Robert Jr hasn't lost his charm!! aww.. anyway. i treated my sis to movie and she treated me to toast box laksa. the laksa is not nice. cause i dun like the mee... =(

friday!! woohhoo!! it's christmas!! i woke up at 12 noon to the smell of tom yum steamboat. so we had a little christmas steamboat gathering and had fun eating and snatching the seafood balls. haha! the steamboat was held in front of the tv as the elderly people wanted to watch the hokkien show. =D. after that, we had a family movie session at tioahru. Bodyguard and Assassins. hmm. quite a sad movie. the 1st half of the movie was draggy.. the 2nd hald was alright. IP man was super handsome. Little girl was cute. the man was handsome. Plot was okay. second thoughts on watching movies with parents. LOLZ

TODAY!!! nua at home!! slept till 12noon. no lunch so went back to sleep till 4.30. online a little... had lunch ( dinner/breakfast)... then watched abit of tv. played some bejewelled. actually a lot... lolz. went out to IMM at 8pm with er jie for entertainment. bought red shirt at esprit for 29.90. two shorts at cotton on for 35. that is for new sem. I MISS UNIFORM!!

i almost died yesterday..

choked on a fishbone and couldn't get it out for as long as an hour.

put my finger down my throat to find the bone.

almost vomited at several times..

Then my sis suggested that i should go and swallow rice balls.

Did so and the bone is still there..

Then my mum suggested that i should swallow bread

SWALLOWED TWO AND ITS STILL THERE!!

Then my sis asked me to go drink vinegar.

Decided not to trust her.

So i continued diggiong for the bones.

My mum offered her help to use twisers to get the bone out from the throat.

My dad even helped to look for touchlight so that my mum can see the bone.

But... My mum has lao hua yen.. so i didn't accept her help..

continued digging...

almost vomited...

super tired... then rested..

At some period of time, i thought the bone has gone down... but it was just my imagination.

Got so tired that i went into the room to find my sis for help...

cause i trusted her eyesight more than my mum's..

She was watching her korean drama serials..

and i told her.."姐姐。。我要死了。。 got fish bones in my throat..."

she looked at me coldly... "你很吵leh... 我在看戏。。去死啦，去死啦。。。"

... SPEECHLESS...

so i went out of the room and went into the bathroom.

There, through the mirror... i saw the bone...

It was actually quite easy to "kiap" out..

But my fat and short fingers couldn't reach that part of the throat.

So i went to wash the twisers and tried getting it out..

but when the hand went into the mouth... It blocked the light and i couldn't see the bone..

so fed-up after several tries and it was really uncomfortable...

i went to sought my sister's help again...

"我真的要死liao..."

Finally, she decided to help me...

But she claimed that the twisers wern't long enough to reach the bone..

SO..

I asked her to take the touchlight for me... and i did the ''operation'' myself on myself..

finally out after some tries...

Hey hey.. It has been a long while since I’ve updated, so… Thank you to all those who remained loyal and constantly viewed my page to see (by luck) if there’s any updates!
Maybe I’ll just start by explaining why, for such a long period of time, I’ve not updated my blog. Well, I got myself a temp job at the start of 2009 and hence, didn’t have that much time to update my blog
I’ll begin by telling you all how on earth I landed myself the job. The job agency called and informed me that there’s this job offering at $6 (which is under my expectation) and it seems like an interesting job. I accepted it, thinking no harm going for an extra interview.

So the next day, I went to this super impressive looking company and had the interview. During the interview, I was told that my job responsibilities would include liaising with various companies and organizations, marketing the various company events, blah blah blah ... When I revealed that my interest is in political science, the interviewer (director/boss) even mentioned that I’ll get to contact with CEOs, MDs, COO, Directors, GM and even manager and this job will give lots of exposure. The interview ended after some 30 minutes and I was told to wait a few days as they have other choices for consideration.

I left the building and proceeded back home. On the MRT station, I suddenly received this call from my agent (Darren) that I got this job. I was so surprised when I was told of the news as I had expected the news some 2, 3 days later, instead of like 5 minutes later from the interview? Anyway, I accepted the job after listening to the various exciting description by the interviewer and I was tasked to start work right after the New Year holiday, which is the 2nd of Jan.

So, the company that employed me is called the Singapore Business Federation. It is an organization which functions like a governmental agency/ non-profit organizations, and what it basically does is organize events for the benefit of the business community in Singapore. As what its website and my boss always say, “The Singapore Business Federation is the apex business chamber that champions the interests of the Singapore business community in trade, investment and industrial relations. It represents more than 15,000 companies as well as the local and foreign business chambers and key national and industry associations from business sectors that contribute significantly to the Singapore economy. Nationally, SBF acts as the bridge between the government and the businesses in Singapore to create and enhance a conducive business environment. Internationally, SBF represents the business community in bilateral, regional, multilateral fora for the purpose of promoting trade expansion and business networking…” …Boring stuff…

Anyway, I went into this company and entered the Industry Development Department as Temp Marketing Assistant. I was so shocked on my first day to find out that there were only 3 people in my department. My boss, my colleague and me. What’s more, my colleague himself is also a temp staff. I was thinking at the back of my mind how this department survived with only temp staff. Then, I asked my colleague, “Is there more to our department?” He replied, “Our department is considered big.. There’s a department which consist of only the director himself.” I was like…haha. Who would have expected that the notable SBF only has such small pool of employees under their ostentatious facade? I felt so cheated. How come the director (My Boss) is able to speak of SBF till it sounds so great?

With that mindset, I started working. The most immediate project our department had was the Launch of SBF-TP Clean Energy Testbedding Community with “Updates on Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City & Clean Energy Solutions for Urban and Ecocity Development”. It is jointly established by SBF and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) to complement the effort of the SBF Clean Energy Business Group (CEBG) and the Singapore Fuel Cell Community (FCC) hosted by TP. Supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB), CETC is targeted at business and technological cooperation to test bed and pilot Fuel Cell (FC) and other Clean Energy Technologies (CET) and Applications for adoption.

Why did industry development turn into a CLEAN ENERGY department?

My first task was then to send out individual invites for the event to 700 plus companies, with their respective salutations. Eg. Mr. ABC, Ms. XYZ. … Your eyes did not deceive you. ITS 700!! After the various emails, I was in-charge of the RSVP and all I do all day was reply thanking the companies for their interest in our seminar. How come my job scope seems so much different from what was promised? Haiz…

But I must admit that I was quite pleased when I was given my own work station. At least I felt respected. HOWEVER, I HAVE NO ACCESS TO THE INTERNET FROM MY DESKTOP EXCEPT FOR THE EMAIL!! BORING!! I CAN’T SUFT THE NET when I’ve got nothing to do. Shucks…

So my job hovers around the launch until the 20th of Jan, which is the day of the event itself. Medias were invited and CEOs from many companies came, and my boss was so disappointed when the only news coverage was a small paragraph in CNA. HAHA!!

The only one thing I enjoyed during the process was that I get to meet the super handsome Lecturer from TP!! Haha.. he was involved in all the planning and we had meetings in SBF/TP now and then, and I’ll get to see him!! He’s older than me by 10 years though… hmm. His name is Kwan XX. I’m drooling… JKJK.

Anyway, I’ll continue another day… I want to knock off now, rushing off to CT’s Alumni Barbeque!!.

Last Saturday, 7th February 09, the NP gang went out again. The destination was Sentosa and was to celebrate Bernard's 23th Bday!

Attendees: Me, Ngiam, Bird, Po, Xiong. Beng couldn't join us as he was on duty.

We planned to meet at 9.30am at vivo for breakfast but i am guilty enough to say that i was late, and reached only at 10. (I overslept and the freaking bus was late.. oops. Shan't blame the bus.) I was the only late persson and proceeded to Giant to meet them.

We bought water and tidbits, bread and tuna worth 26 plus in Giant, sponsered by Po and ngiam, to be brought into Sentosa. Then, we decided to grab a bit before going in and went to the kopitiam.

There, we bought 13 dollars woth of Tim Sum(Sponsered by me), 13 dollars plus of Kway Chap Sponsered by bird), and 5 dollars plus of Niang Dou Fu (By Xiong). Weixiong was laugh at for only buying that small bowl of niang dou fu. We ate to our fill and then adjourned to Sentosa.

At the ticketing booth, all of us paid for our own ticket, except for bird, who is sponsered by Xiong. They actually wanted me to sponser them but in the end, ngiam and xiong decided to pay for their own and bird was left to be seen as heartless.

Upon reaching sentosa, some serious debates was held to whether we should go to Palawan beach or Silosa. In the end, Silosa won and we walked there from the entrance.

In the walk, bird repeated his story about his dream of parachuting using a super duper small parachute, which eventually led to his winning of 4D. It was quite interesting and i had a good laugh.

After walking to a few spots, we decided to camp below the "lifwguard house" as the shade "would remain". Then, the guys started taking off their clothes and to put on the suntan lotion. Ngiam joined them in putting suntan lotion while i strongl\y opposed to Suntan lotion and INSISTED STRONGLY ON PUTTING SUNBLOCK instead.haha.. i didn't want my whitening efforts to go to waste. Ngiam said i should tan as white makes me looks ghostly.

Then, the guys started playing games while me and ngiam has some girl's talk. It's sort of about her china trip and details shall not be mentioned. We also did some zi-paing. Penalty was imposed on the person who dropped the ball, and i should be 5 pumpings if i'm not wrong. Me and ngiam joined in a while later and the game was changed to frisbee. Ngiam was "zhao" by po while i was "zhao" by xiong, who would have to cover our punishments. Bird would have to do double of it. Being a sports idiot, xiong did quite some push ups because of my error. poor thing.

They stopped the games for a while and suggested swimming. However, I COULD NOT JOIN THEM AS MY RELATIVE- BIG AUNTIE CAME VISITING. So i have had no choice but to stand on shore and watch them play. I also doubled as the photographer.

We took a break at around 12 and started snacking on the chips. They were so tired after the swim that ngiam and xiong fell asleep, and po, bird and 1 just lazed around, playing blackjack. Think we sat till 2, where they began waking and we started eating the breads and chicken, and ngiam, po and bird went off to buy drinks.

So only xiong and i was left back at "camp" to take care of the barang-barang. Had a talk with him and was quite fulfilling given that i knew some gossips by the end of it.

When the three of them came back, they suggested going to take the skyride/ go back as they were really tired. We played till 4 plus before we left the beach. for the ride and THE RIDE WAS SO FUN!!! Thanks Po for the treat!

After the ride, we went to bath and headed back to vivo. We had our dinner at carls Junior and xiong left us at around 6.30 due to prior commitments. The rest of us headed to the cinema, but there were no tickets for 7.15. So not wanting to watch the movie in tee'shirt and shorts,which will be bloody cold, i didn't join them and bird follow suit, not wanting to be a gooseberry. Seeing no more programmes left, bird left us at 7.30 after some pet-sighting and arcade playing. I joined them in some window shopping and bank visiting till 8 where i went to join my sister who was also at vivo.

*I was told that after the outing, most of them who wanted to tan themself (Ngiam and Xiong) was sunburnt. I also got sunburnt on my nose as i didn't put the sunblock on my face.

Went out with Cuiping, Edwyn, Weixiong on Sat. We ate ZiCa at Clementi Central and ordered the regulars like cereal shrimp, sambal kangkong, fried youtiao, rib king, prawn paste chicken wing and tieban doufu. Then, we went to Edwyn Hse to slack for a while. Played with hamster and stuff and me and ngiam started zipai-ing.

After that, we went to WestCoast Plaza because someone by the name of NGWEIXIONG didn't want to watch movies. So we went to the new mall. AND.. a series of nonsense started...

Shortly after, Bernand came and joined us. He had his dinner at subway and the gang decided to "nua" at west coast park. THERE GOES MY STARBUCKS!!! We went to sheng song to stock up and bought 20 plus bucks worth of snacks and drinks, consisting of dried squid, zicai, 2 cans of pringles, oreas, twisties and a CARTON of grass jelly drink. SIAO.

So upon reaching (at around 7), we choose our "picnic" location near the sea and each took a can of drink to "warm up". Then we started our games of "5,10,15" and "open numbers". We ended at around at 11.45pm and thats it... =D

Today, i ponned CLIT lessons, along with yanmei and haofei and we went to the libary to slack around. Then, something PLESENTLY SURPRISED HAPPENED!!! We were sittting at the "couch area" in the library, reading newspaper and doing our work and THEN!! haofei notified me that my 穿着RONO跑步的帅哥 is also in the library and he was at the computer area which is like just 2m or somehing away from where we were seated. When i turned to look around, i was abit disappointed that he had left the area and I DIDN'T MANAGE TO STEAL GLANCESOF HIM. =( THEN!!! miracle happened. He came and sat down with us. WHAT'S MORE, HE WAS SITTING OPPOSITE ME! omg... super shy lar. haha. When he sat down, haofei kept looking at me to see my reactions. I almost had 内伤when trying not to 偷笑and acting normal. Haofei actually told me the green veins on my face were super visible that time. Think i almost burst my blood vessels.He sat there for almost 15 minutes and i think i acted like a complete retard. haha. 近距离接触..
